Saved vials
What is free, and what does Pro add?
The calculator, including reverse calculation and all supported syringe settings, is free. You can save one active vial with its full dose history. PepMath Pro adds unlimited active vials and JSON/CSV export.
Archiving a vial keeps its history and frees the active slot. Restoring it while another active vial exists requires Pro. Existing saved vials and history remain available and editable after a subscription ends.
How do I save or change a vial?
Enter your values in Calculator, then choose Save vial. Give it a name to open its saved detail page. To change it later, open the vial in Vials and choose Edit or Edit in calculator from its menu.
Saving an edit keeps that vial’s dose history and schedule. Duplicate vial starts a new vial from the calculation without copying the old history or schedule.
Where is an archived vial?
Open Vials and expand Archived. Its detail page still contains its history. Choose Make active to restore it, subject to the active-vial limit. Archived vials are hidden from Today and their reminders are paused.
Dose records
Can I enter a different amount or a past date?
Yes. On Today, open the vial’s More menu and choose Choose amount or date. You can also open Log a dose in the saved vial. Enter the actual amount, unit, date and time, then save it as taken or skipped.
Log as taken uses the vial’s saved calculation for a new entry now. A skipped entry does not reduce the remaining volume.
How do I correct or remove an entry?
Open the vial’s dose history and use an entry’s menu to choose Edit entry or Delete entry. Deletion asks for confirmation. Use the visible Undo action to restore a deleted entry. Today also provides Undo for an entry recorded there, followed by Restore if it was removed.
The remaining amount updates from taken entries. Changing the saved calculation does not rewrite the consumed volume of an already recorded entry.
Why is the remaining amount unavailable?
PepMath needs a valid vial calculation and enough information in the dose history to estimate consumed volume. Some older records may not include the original amount. Check the calculation and entries; the app does not assume the vial is full when consumption cannot be determined.
Subscriptions
How do I manage or cancel Pro?
Open your device’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PepMath. An active Pro subscription also has a Manage subscription link in PepMath Settings.
Apple manages billing and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. If a trial is offered and you do not want it to renew, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Deleting PepMath does not cancel its subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.
I purchased Pro, but the app does not show it.
Check that your device uses the Apple Account that made the purchase. Connect to the internet and use Restore purchases in PepMath Settings when shown, or Restore a previous purchase on the Pro plan screen. If Settings shows an expired subscription, open See the plans to find that action.
Apple’s purchase restoration guide covers account and purchase-permission checks. Restoring a purchase restores access to Pro; it does not retrieve local vial records from another device.
What are the price and trial terms?
The Pro plan screen and Apple’s purchase confirmation show the price, billing period and any eligible trial for your storefront. Check those terms before subscribing. A free trial is available only when the offer and your eligibility are confirmed by Apple.
PepMath uses Apple’s standard Terms of Use. For billing problems or a possible refund, see Apple’s billing support. Apple determines refund eligibility.
Your data
Where are my records stored?
In the app’s local storage on your device. No PepMath account is required. PepMath does not provide its own cloud sync. Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in an Apple device backup.
Optional weight and water tools can be enabled in Settings. Turning a card off keeps its history. These records are entered manually; PepMath does not use HealthKit.
How do I export a copy?
With Pro active, open Vials → Export. Choose Export all data (JSON), Export vials (CSV), or Export dose history (CSV), then choose a destination in the share sheet.
The JSON option contains the vial archive and its dose records. These exports do not include weight or water entries. PepMath currently has no import function, so an export is a copy you can keep or read elsewhere, not an in-app restore file.
My saved data is missing. What should I do?
Check the Archived section in Vials and confirm you are using the original device. If the app reports a loading or saving error, keep its message for support. Avoid deleting or reinstalling the app as a troubleshooting step: doing so removes its local records.
PepMath support cannot retrieve a server copy because the app does not upload your records. An existing device backup or an export you made may contain a separate copy; availability depends on what you previously saved.
How do I delete records?
For a dose entry, use its menu in the vial’s history. For a whole vial and its dose history, use Delete vial from the detail menu and confirm. Archive it instead if you want to keep its history.
To remove the app’s complete local records, delete PepMath from the device. Keep any copy you need first. Copies in backups or exported files are separate; manage them where you saved them. Deleting the app does not cancel Pro.
Reminders
How do I turn reminders on?
Open a saved vial, add your own schedule and enable Reminders. Allow notifications when iOS asks. Set the shared hour and minute under PepMath Settings → Reminder time.
Reminders follow the schedule you entered. Archived vials and dates already logged as taken or skipped are excluded. Open PepMath periodically so it can refresh upcoming reminders; scheduling is subject to iOS limits.
Why did a reminder not appear?
Check that the vial is active, its schedule includes the date, reminders are enabled and the date has no taken or skipped entry. Check PepMath’s notification permission, Focus and notification settings in iOS. Open PepMath to refresh its schedule; Settings shows how many reminders are scheduled.
A notification may include your vial name. Review notification previews if you do not want that name visible on a Lock Screen or connected device.
Calculations
What is the difference between scale, capacity and IU?
Scale tells the app how many syringe units represent 1 mL: U-100 uses 100; U-40 uses 40. Capacity is how much the barrel holds in mL. Changing capacity does not change the calculated volume for the same inputs.
mg and mcg measure mass. IU measures biological activity; converting between mass and IU requires a compound-specific factor that you supply. Syringe units are a volume marking, not IU.
For an explanation inside the app, open Settings → How calculations work. PepMath does not choose a dose, dilution volume, compound-specific conversion factor or schedule for you.
Mathematical utility only
PepMath is a mathematical utility for research and educational purposes only. Not for medical use. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or dosing recommendations. It performs unit conversions on values you enter. Consult a qualified professional for any health decision.
